Network settings

Editing network settings

Select the "Network settings" tab to adjust your network card(s) settings. Net Profile Switch allows storing multiple network-interfaces settings in one network profile.

In the upper part of the window you see a list of available network interfaces, found in your system. Each interface in the list has an icon next to it. If this icon is colored it means that this particular network-interface will be affected when the profile is activated. If the icon is "disabled", the network interface will not be affected. Check the "Change this network card settings when the profile is activated" box to adjust the settings.

When you select a network-interface in the list, it's network settings are displayed in the lower part of the window.

Steps to configure your network interface:

  • Click the desired network interface in the list
  • Check the "Change this network-interface's settings when the profile is activated" box
  • Adjust the network-interface settings in the lower part of the window
  • Repeat for other interfaces if needed
  • Now when this profile will be activated, the network settings will be changed.
  •

If your network has a DHCP-server which assigns the addresses automatically, check "Obtain automatically" checkbox. If there's no DHCP-server on your network then you have to configure static values. Type in your computer's IP-adress, DNS-servers, Gateway and Subnet-mask manually. If you are not sure about the values, contact your network administrator.

    Importing current settings
