Getting started

Start working with the Network Sniffer in 4 easy steps:

Select a network interface in the dropdown list, and click "Start" to enable network monitoring. Jitbit Network Sniffer will start capturing packets and show the list of IP sessions in the left pane. Packet counter will increase as Network Sniffer captures more packets.
Click an IP address in the network sessions list and Network Sniffer will show the corresponding packets, sent and received to the this IP address.
Captured packets are displayed in the middle list below the toolbar. Clicking an IP packet in this list displays it's contents in the lower pane and it's header in the right tree. You can switch the packet viewer from HEX-view to Text-view using the toolbar. You can also click the IP-header values to select the appropriate bytes in the HEX-viewer.
Click "Stop" to pause network monitoring and "Clear" to clear all views.
