When I click on the Add button, and enter an email address and hit enter, the page reloads. If I do the same thing and hit the tab key, the text box disappears, and the new address isn't displayed in the list. What am I supposed to do to add a subscriber sucessfully?

You enter an user's username, not email. Thebox will auto-suggest usernames while you type

In our case, the email address is the same as the username. It does the autosuggest, it just doesn't add that user to the list of subscribers.
