Hello,
I have a small feature request... In my situation, it is quite critical at work not to use incorrect ip addresses or workgroups. However, when I disconnect my laptop from the home network (workgroup: home, ip via dhcp), and connect it at work (specific workgroup, ip via dhcp), there is a short time (i.e. the time before I activate the work profile) that my computer is on an incorrect workgroup and possibly has an incorrect ip address. This is because it reuses the settings from the previous network.
Currently, I activate the work profile before connecting the cable (gives error messages regarding smpt not found and other stuff), and then a second time after plugging in the cable, but I sometimes forget that first activation.
Is it possible to add a way to circumvent this in NPS? Just some thoughts of the top of my head: 1. allow for a pause during the activation of a profile (upon activation: clear the settings, pause to allow one to plug in the cable, set new settings) 2. clear the settings at shutdown (so that at next startup it has no settings that could be wrong on any network) 3. Allow for some boot-time setting (I have been looking at this using hardware profiles: I was hoping to be able to set up a second hardware profile in which work-network settings could be set, but have been unsuccessful so far)
Thanks!
Jörg
(I've had another visit from the sysadmin: my workgroup home showed up on his network, and remained there for quite a while after I changed profiles )
