Assigning macros to hotkeys

Jitbit Macro Recorder comes with the "Hotkey Macro Launcher" utility, which allows the user to assign saved macros to hotkeys. For example, one can create a macro which shuts the computer down, and assign this macro to "Shift + Ctrl + 2" hotkey. Then, whenever you press "Shift + Ctrl + 2", your computer shuts down. Another example: record a macro which types the text "With best regards, John Doe. johhdoe@mymail.com" and assign this macro to "Alt + Ctrl + K" hotkey. Whenever you press "Alt + Ctrl + K", this text is inserted into any program.

Steps to bind a macro to a hotkey:

  1. Create/record a macro with Jitbit Macro Recorder
  2. Save the macro
  3. Start Hotkey Macro Launcher
  4. Create a hotkey assignment
  5. Minimize Hotkey Macro Launcher to the system tray (Hotkey Macro Launcher must keep running to respond to the hotkeys)
  6. Every time you press the chosen key combination, the macro assigned to this combination is fired
