Illegitimate bulk email software typically has a built-in SMTP server inside it, allowing to send out tens of thousands of messages a minute. Sometimes, this software even uses a "bot-net" (a collection of virus-infected computers) to send spam.
MailJet, on the contrary, simply uses your existing legitimate email-account with your ISP, or a Gmail-account, for example, to send a press-release or a newsletter to your customers one by one. It even has a "timeout" setting to wait between messages, to prevent false spam detection.

You can set up a delay between each two emails. Please see the "Email-Settings" tab.
