Can different departments have separate queues?

Yes. You can create categories for each department (IT, Facilities, Student Services, etc.), assign agents to specific categories, and set up automation rules to route tickets automatically. Each department only sees their own tickets.

Do you support Active Directory and SSO?

Yes. We support Active Directory integration and SAML 2.0 for single sign-on. Works with Azure AD, Google Workspace, and other SAML providers. Your team logs in with their existing credentials.

Can students and parents submit tickets?

Yes. End-users (students, parents, staff) can submit tickets via email, the web portal, or the knowledge base. They don't need agent licenses — end-users are unlimited on all plans.

Is our data secure?

All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We support role-based access, two-factor authentication, session timeouts, and IP restrictions. Our SaaS runs on AWS with US-based data centers. For schools that need full control, our self-hosted version runs behind your firewall.

How long does setup take?

Most teams are live within an hour. Sign up, connect your support email (we support Exchange, Office 365, Google Workspace, IMAP, and SMTP), invite your agents, and you're ready. No implementation project required.

What about FERPA compliance?

Jitbit encrypts all data at rest and in transit, supports role-based access to restrict who sees what, and provides audit trails for ticket actions. We sign Data Processing Agreements (DPA) on request. For schools that need full data sovereignty, our self-hosted version keeps everything on your own servers.

What happens when our trial ends?

Your data stays intact for 3 months. When you upgrade to a paid plan with the same email, your trial instance converts to paid with all data preserved. No setup fees, no hidden charges.
